Do doula's attend hospital births? Doulas absolutely attend hospital births, providing vital support wherever you choose to bring your baby into the world. It's crucial to have a backup plan and emotional support, especially since epidurals can sometimes be ineffective or not an option.
Do I have to purchase birth AND postpartum services? While you are not required to purchase birth and postpartum services, opting for them ensures continuity of care and offers the best value for your experience.
When should I schedule an interview with a doula? Ideally, you should schedule an interview with a doula between months three and six of your pregnancy. This timeline allows us to work together to prepare your body for birth, which takes time and effort. Finding the right doula may involve interviewing several candidates to see who aligns best with your needs, but remember, it's never too late to seek support, even if you decide to hire a doula last minute.
